Description

Rocket R Cinquantotto (R58) Dual Boiler Coffee Machine

Cinquantotto means 58, the new R58 Cinquantotto from Rocket Espresso.

Rocket coffee machines are well known for their quality. Thats why it's no surprise they've stepped it up with the Cinquantotto. Dual independently operated PID controlled boilers allowing for optimum extraction of any coffee type or roast style. Rocket Espresso inclined boiler technology means precise group temperature adjustment and unprecedented levels of temperature stability.

Commercial grade rotary pump draws from the machines internal water reservoir or allows for the machine to have a direct water connection from the water supply.

Machine functions are controlled by the touch screen communication pod that now includes an automatic on/off function – your machine is ready to go whenever you need coffee. The communication pod can easily be removed from the machine to retain the aesthetic that is Rocket Espresso.

Rocket Espresso Milan introduced the R58 Cinquantotto as the first dual boiler espresso machine to stand in line with the iconic Giotto range. Within the R58 Cinquantotto, two dual boilers operate independently to create unprecedented stability for the espresso coffee boiler and increased levels of both steam pressure and hot water supply from the service boiler. Machine functions are controlled from the Rocket Espresso communication pod that plugs into the side of the R 58.

Using the pod, temperatures for both boilers can be set and adjusted with ease for working with a variety of roast profiles and origins. Further control of the R58 is offered by being able to manually adjust the commercial grade rotary pump by using the external fitting found on the base of the machine.

These manual controls will create espresso without compromise. Fresh water is sourced for both boilers from the internal 2.5 litre reservoir or a direct mains plumbing and drainage option is included in the accessories kit. The streamlined appearance, unique styling and build quality as expected from Rocket is again obvious in the R58.

Rocket Espresso have take features directly from their commercial espresso machine range and given the Rocket dual boiler machine superior technology that is normally only found in full sized commercial espresso machines. This philosophy dates back to the Rocket history and mission which started in the 1990's where Ennio Berti had a strong belief that the world is ready for a coffee revolution.

The R58 coffee machine, and Rocket Espresso brand, has gone through two iterations since its release to quickly become the legend it is today. Starting at the very end of the process, by creating the perfect espresso, the engineers work in reverse to create the ultimate espresso machine. Purpose built with the very best in traditional craftsmanship and technical knowledge, all to reflect the commercial machine experience at home. Yet everything about it is meticulously designed.

The 1.8 + 0.58 litres boilers construction is built with a lead free brass plate to increase thermal retention, and then nickel plated for protection against copper oxidation. The thermo siphon system layout is completely re-configured allowing for the balance of the espresso machine which enables the ability to texture perfect milk and optimising perfect extraction temperature for the tastes and flavours of espresso, without delay.

Cool touch Steam and hot water wands are incorporated. While the competition reduce their production costs with less expensive parts, and cutting corners, Ennio's machine is built with commercial grade components and manufacturing processes.

Rocket R58 machines not only look and are finished beautifully, they are well thought of and designed to have a modern heart inside a traditional looking yet simple exterior. Temperature control is optimised through a pod controller which can be removed to allow for a clean traditional look.

An adjustable temperature via PID allows the user to select individual brewing temperatures for different coffee types and roast styles. Yet they have worked hard to keep flashy digital displays away from visible sight in order for the machine to be at one with the barista, allowing the barista to be present in the beautiful moment that is making espresso coffee.

About Rocket Espresso

The Rocket story goes back to the early 1990's when espresso machine engineer Ennio Berti resigns from one of Italy's major espresso machine manufacturing companies. He believes the world is ready for a coffee revolution - a commercial quality domestic espresso machine. Starting at the very end of the process (the perfect cup of coffee), Ennio works back to create the ultimate espresso machine, and Andrew and Daniele have continued with this process. Rocket coffee machines not only look and are finished beautifully, they are well thought of and designed to have a modern heart inside a traditional looking yet simple exterior. They have worked hard to keep flashy digital displays away from visible sight in order for the machine to be at one with the barista, allowing the barista to be present in the beautiful moment that is making espresso coffee.

CoffeeParts Reviews

The Rocket R58 is a dual boiler espresso coffee machine featuring pid temperature control, full commercial rotary pump, and the option of using a direct water connection or the water reservoir supply. The Rocket R58 is one of the nicest high end dual boiler home coffee machines on the market, with the flexibility of being run from either tank or plumbed in. Although for the home market we prefer heat exchange machines, for users looking for full temperature control or the ability to experiment with different temperatures based on different roast profiles, the R58 is a great machine and significantly cheaper than the La Marzocco GS3.
