Bialetti Coffee Maker and Moka Coffee Makers

What is a moka pot? It’s a stove top coffee maker created in 1933 for Alfonso Bialetti, hence the well renowned name.

Bialetti Coffee Maker became a well reputable, Italian stovetop espresso company which rapidly became adopted into many homes around the world. Moka pots are either made from stainless steel or an aluminum body. These materials are designed to withstand the heat of hot stoves and resist rust. It's sturdy design makes this brewing device incredibly versatile.

The Bialetti Coffee Maker celebrates more than 80 years of classic design elegance and technological simplicity. From the early 1950s to the present day, Bialetti has manufactured over 200 million coffee makers. In particular, the original bialetti moka express has become iconic and has allowed millions of consumers to enjoy great Italian coffee.

The stovetop espresso maker has a water chamber at the base of the brewing device which holds water whilst it is heated for brewing. This water is filled below the safety valve to ensure safety when brewing.

Above the water chamber is a coffee basket, where the ground coffee is placed. The coffee basket of the bialetti moka pot holds the coffee grounds and has many tiny holes on the base. These incredibly small holes allow steam to rise and begin to extract all those tasty flavours.

The filter screen sits above the Coffee Basket which allows the brewed coffee to rise but not the grounds. The pressure created from the water chamber forces water upwards and out of the funnel running through the centre of the device. This then results in two spouts flowing freshly brewed coffee into the upper chamber. Once bubbling is heard, the extraction process is complete, your espresso coffee is ready.

Bialetti's Moka pot coffee is a rich, viscous, authentic espresso brewed in just minutes. The aluminum pot features Bialetti’s distinctive eight-sided shape allowing optimal heat diffusion.

For those preferring a smoother coffee taste, Bialetti’s stainless stove-top pots embody our legendary easy to use sleek contemporary designs. Bialetti’s legacy lies in quality and reliability. It lives on in these lines of coffee makers crafted in high-quality 18/10 stainless with ergonomic, heat-resistant handles.
